Early Childhood Teacher/Assistant Director

St. Gregory's Preschool in Deerfield, Il is hiring a Teacher/Assistant Director for our 9 month program. Classes are held Monday through Friday and include preschool for 3 to 5 year olds and kindergarten enrichment. Hours will be 8:30 to 3:30 and may include2 to 3 evening or weekend events. Learn more about our program at www. stgregoryspreschool.org BS or BA in early childhood education, child development or a related field or equivalent. An Illinois 04 certificate is a plus. A minimum of 18 hours of course work in early childhood education Demonstrated experience in the preschool and kindergarten education field Met all DCFS requirement for a day care director, including favorable results of a criminal background check and physical examination Familiarity with DCFS Licensing standards. Experience in a DCFS licensed facility is preferred Working knowledge of Illinois PreK and kindergarten learning standards Ability to prepare and present age appropriate lessons based on the individual needs of each student and State learning standards The ability to work collaboratively and share teaching duties with other teaching staff The ability to relate and interact positively with both children and adults of diverse cultures, abilities, and backgrounds Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and the ability to use the internet as a resource tool
