Job Description:
Under direct supervision of Site Director, Master Teacher is responsible for the planning and implementing of activities, routines, and curriculum used by teachers working in this mixed age 3-5 year old classroom. Master Teacher ensures that all classroom staff adhere to the State of Illinois Early Learning requirements, Head Start standards, and conduct appropriate observations and assessments, provide individualized curriculum that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of children. Candidate must ensure appropriate child guidance and communication with families. Master Teacher provides direct on-going supervision to classroom staff and works with the Education Coordinator, Site Director, and other Master Teachers to ensure high quality services to enrolled children and their families, and as a model of ethical behavior and professional commitment to the field.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
Type 04 Certification
Language Requirements:
Bilingual preferred; however, not required
