Head Start Site Director

Under supervision of the Program Director, the Head Start Site Director supervises the Master Teachers in conjunction with the Education Coordinator in the early childhood center-based programs at the North Children’s Center. The Site Director supervises support staff and carries out administrative tasks related to the daily operation of the childcare facility. In addition the Site Director is responsible for completion of administrative tasks related to monthly reports, budget compliance, facility maintenance and ensuring that compliance with funding requirements is met. The incumbent monitors and maintains systems related to revision/update of policies and procedures, follow-up on non-compliance areas. The Site Director is also responsible for active participation with community partners and stakeholders as it relates to developing relationships and supporting the needs of parents as advocates for children. The incumbent works in collaboration with other agency groups or programs to meet the needs of clients and to expand services, as well working with other agency Site Directors to develop and achieve program goals.

Requirements:

Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university; Type 04 Certificate; and 3 years teaching and supervisory experience. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
