Director

Hobson School, a private, not-for-profit parent co-operative pre-school in Naperville, Illinois, seeks to fill the full time position of Director, effective July 1, 2014.

Hobson School is located in a historic one room school building adjoining a forest preserve. Current programs offered include morning and afternoon classes grouped by age, from 3 to 5 years old; a Saturday morning parent-child session for 2 year olds; and summer camps for preschool and school-age one children from 5 to 8 years old. Maximum enrollment during the school year is approximately 90 children.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

Selecting and supporting the teaching staff

Working in conjunction with the parent members of the cooperative and the Hobson School Boards

Administrative tasks

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Masters degree preferred

Minimum of three years of relevant supervisory experience

Minimum of three years of classroom teaching

Salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits
