Under supervision of the Program Director, the Head Start Site Director supervises Master Teachers in conjunction with the Education Coordinator in the early childhood center-based programs at the Midway Children’s Center. The Site Director supervises support staff and carries out administrative tasks related to the daily operation of the childcare facility. The incumbent is responsible for completions of administrative tasks related to monthly reports, budget compliance, facility maintenance and ensuring that compliance with funding requirements are met. The Site Director also monitors and maintains systems related to revision/update of policies and procedures, follow-up on non-compliance areas. In addition, the Site Director is responsible for active participation with community partners and stakeholders as it relates to developing relationships and supporting the needs of parents as advocates for children, as well as working in collaboration with other agency groups or programs to meet the needs of clients and to expand services.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university; Type 04 Certificate; 3 years of teaching and supervisory experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
