Mission

To serve as a resource for our early childhood community at large. The commission helps early childhood professionals make use of the growing resources for children with special needs. It offers scholarships to the Chicago Metro AEYC conference and has published a booklet called “Finding an Appropriate Preschool for your child with special needs” (available for purchase).

Hotline for Help - a telephone response system for queries from the public

Quarterly Commission meetings

Maintenance of special needs track of annual conference

Supervision of Bernstein Scholarships

Brochure sales, possible update and republication, distribution of Spanish language format to the greater community
